It's that time of year again

The pollen is starting to slowly pile up on the cars again and the professors are starting to pile up the research papers and tests. With all I have to do I'm sure the next few weeks will fly by. This week I have a response paper, 4 stories to peer edit, and two midterms all due/on Thursday. Tonight I'll probably just relax after I get home from class, watch Glee, and get to bed early because tomorrow is going to be spent studying like a mad woman! March 28 I have a proposal for my research project due in my bio lab so I have to meet up with my partner on Sunday, March 31st I have my first draft for my Isis research paper, April 6 I have my Field test in English that I need to find time to study for, and then some time after that I have to write another story and edit the last one and my research paper on Isis. Yeah, like I said, busy couple of weeks.

On top of school things I have a LOT to do in preparation for my move to NYC on June 1st. I'm super excited and think it's going to be a great thing for me. I'm so OVER small town life and the South in general. Yes, there will be things about Oxford that I miss but it's time for a change. Heather and I are looking for a place with a rent cap of 2k that allows dogs. I want to live in Manhattan but Heather and I are also looking at the very edge of Brooklyn because the places there are so much bigger for the same price. If anyone reads this and knows of things that would help us find a great place please let me know! I also have to find someone to take over the last two months of my lease here. I was hoping that my landlord would just post his ad sooner but that was silly of me. I hope my next landlord is better. Not that Mike is horrible, he's just not the best. The last thing I need to do for my move is sell a bunch of my furniture and find an inexpensive yet reliable mover for the few items that I am keeping (like my amazing pillow-top bed). Once again, on the chance someone knows something that can help me out don't hesitate to speak up!

Now, as for my lasts posts I'm sure the few of you who read this will want an update. As for the Ole Miss thing well, I've come to realize to the administration we are just the University of Mississippi, it's the students who see Ole Miss as being Ole Miss. The administration is uncaring and ridiculous. And by administration I simply mean a few select people who have their offices in the Lyceum. There are others in the administration who are great, such as the deans office who helped me a few weeks ago with an issue I had with degree requirements. I gave up on trying to talk to the chancellors office about caring for ALL their students, I just realized that it didn't make sense that they would listen to my voice when they don't listen to the voices of everyone who misses Col Reb, both students and alumni.

As for my job, well what a surprise, the restaurant closed up in the new year. Guess how I found out that I was jobless. Chef texted Ashley, Ashley called Winter, and Winter called me. Yes, that is correct, we lost our jobs through a TEXT to one server and then calls between the staff! They still owe me a paycheck AND they still have my cocktail tray at the restaurant. Chef apparently changed the lock and there's no way to get in. Umm I'm seriously about to call the cops because as far as I can tell they have STOLEN my property by not giving me the chance to retrieve it after they closed down. I'll update on the situation once I try to contact my old manager again. I have to admit though, not having a job has made my life so much less stressful. I mean last semester was miserable, and while I really don't like that I have to have my dad pay my bills for me I'm still so much happier that I don't have to be around those people any longer.

Okay, well it's about time to get ready to go back to school. I'll try to post on here more often, I know that I disappeared for a while, things were just nuts.

Love and Kisses,
KABO
